With her big eyes, innocent smile and vivacious acting style, Genelia DSouza is apt for the title Miss World Bubbly. She is the darling of the media and masses alike with her baby face and naughty ways.
But when it comes to films, she is no longer a baby in the industry. Genelia has been acting since 2003 and that takes her into the genre of senior actresses who have the acting experience of over five years. But despite her seniority, Genelia, in all her films, has played the same role, that of a young and vulnerable girl.
Genelia is now the official teen queen across the board. She started her career with Boys directed by Shankar, then appeared in several films in Telugu, including Bommarillu opposite Siddharth. Genelia’s mother has now given up her plum job at a pharma company to manage her daughter’s career. What makes top directors gravitate towards casting Genelia is her ability to breathe fresh air into any role she is challenged with.
So now, in the sixth year of her career, it does not come as a surprise if she complains she is tired of being typecast and wants to do something different. She has set her eyes on hard-core action roles. She wants to take on the bad guys and do some fabulous stunt scenes. It will be interesting to see if any film makers are interested in this suggestion.

Genelia was nervous walking the ramp

Genelia DSouza walked the ramp for the first time recently at the Lakme Fashion Week for designer
Manish Malhotra.
It was Manisha’s idea. I just couldn’t say no to him. When I was about to walk the ramp, I had butterflies in my stomach and was very nervous. Manish walked up to me and said that be yourself and don’t get nervous. Now considering I don’t walk the ramp everyday, I walked the ramp the way I generally walk like an actress!
