Sitting in an Italian café on the island of Bari listening to U2 and writing this blog (handwritten of course), I’m here to shoot for my brother Sajid’s film but somehow U2 going better with the ambience..
Thank you all for the absolutely terrific response to the 1st episode, I was flooded with texts, calls and mails (which I couldn’t access due to my phobia of computers). We’ve got some great reviews too, and unanimously the Salman-Salma aunty episode won hearts. In fact I think Salma aunty was such a star that I’ve told Salman to put her on the ‘WANTED’ posters, she’ll be a big draw.
For the last segment, where we get the common man on, frankly the feedback was mixed. A lot of people thought that it was very touching and a new format, whereas a few told me it was boring. Well we try and in the next episodes some of their stories are extraordinary. In fact next week when we have Shahid and Genelia, the topic being 2nd chances- the common man story was so inspiring that sweet Genelia broke down crying and I had to stop the shoot and comfort her and get her some tissue. I think even Shahid had got teary eyed- I couldn’t see properly- my eyes were welled up too.
Back to Shahid, he was so candid and sporting- he did not even want to know what the topic was beforehand. I also asked him some questions about when he was down and not doing so well, how did it feel to have a more successful girlfriend and he spoke so honestly and so highly for Kareena that my respect for him went up many notches higher.
Of course the poor boy then had to do a romantic scene…with ME!!!

This week host Farah Khan will have Shahid Kapur and Genelia D’ Souza on her chat show, ‘Tere Mere Beach Mein’. The two actors will be seen getting candid with the host sharing some truths about their lives.
Shahid and Genelia makes the best couple! They are the most gorgeous pair and will be seen in next coming months.
Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D’Souza looked really cute and both shared an extraordinary chemistry, that was to be talked about when they recently appeared on Farah’s talk show ‘Tere Mere Beach Mein’. Both of them enjoyed each others presence.
Farah Khan welcomed Shahid with a compliment saying that the actor looks glowing after the success of his recent flick Kaminey. Shahid shared his experiences who was accompanied by Jaane Tu.. actress Genelia D’ Souza. All these masti happened in the sets of Farah Khan’s chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein.
Shahid shared his experience saying, “I’m from a very middle-class background, I’ve gone through tough times when I had a bike but didn’t even have Rs 50 to put petrol in it. I got Rs 1 lakh for Ishq Vishq. After it became a hit, I signed my next film for Rs 35 lakh and got Rs 5 lakh as signing amount. I remember going home with the cheque of Rs 5 lakh and telling mum, ‘Mom, in three days, we will have Rs 5 lakh in our bank account!’ Life changed for me after Ishq Vishq.”
Farah joked at both the actors saying, “You both have done an ad with famous stars, music video, a hit film, many flops and then a comeback … Both your career paths are very similar.. Are you siblings?”
Genelia quickly retorted, “No, no, no, no … Bhai behen nahi hai.” At that, the actors shared a high-five!
The alluring missy seems to have transfixed not just the buffs, but producers as well. Genelia D’Souza has a mountaintop career graph as she’s been the most favorite of all producers in Bollywood as well South Indian Film industry.
When Asin was pulled into the limelight under this criterion, Genelia is treading with much more fame. Indeed, reports stated that filmmaker Prabhu Deva was keen on casting her opposite Salman Khan for his debut directorial ‘Wanted’. Perhaps, she was the first choice for producer Boney Kapoor as well. But the actress wasn’t available for the required schedules.
And the biggest of all offer to be missed by this fille was Aditya Chopra. The auteur had laid his best efforts in roping her for one of his projects. Nonetheless, Genelia D’ Souza couldn’t sign the deal due to unavailability of dates.

She said, “Shahid , tum bahut hi handsome lag rahe ho, Pata nai tum badti umar ke saath handsome hote ja rahe ho ya tumhari success ka ye new found glow hai, this is the best you’ve ever looked!”
Later, Shahid talking about success said, “Success ke pehle hum log barbaad the!”

Shahid gave away his favourite cap for auction on the show. When Farah asked “ Kya iss cap ne aapke sar ko chua hai?”, he replies,” bahut baar chua hai.” Having worn the cap several times, it’s his favourite, the actor revealed. Genelia gave away a sexy red dress!
