After a brief halt, the later half of 2009 was filled with enough memorable films. Now one can sit back to let 2010 unfold with another set of films, waiting to prove their magic at the box office.

Having successfully delivered 3 blockbusters with ‘Kaminey’, ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Dev D’ in 2009, UTV Motion Pictures is looking forward for 2010 along with its several major ventures.

UTV recently announced a dhamakedaar line-up of 4 films for the period of January - March 2010.

The slate for 2010 kicks off with ‘Chance Pe Dance’, which has been directed by Ken Ghosh and stars Shahid Kapoor, as the talented and passionate Sameer with a never-say-die attitude and Genelia, as a beautiful and spirited choreographer, Tina. The film will have a worldwide release on 15th January.

Creative films, even more creative promotions! Films these days don’t seem to compromise on anything when they want to promote themselves, that to different in unique style…

The marketing team of Shahid-Genelia starrer ‘Chance Pe Dance’ have come up with really hatke idea. Going by the story of the film that features Shahid living a car, the promotional campaign will make use of this four-wheeler. And not only that, Shahid will in fact live in it… that too for two days!

“Marketing the film is very important and everyone needs different ideas,” said sources, “It’s very difficult to convince Shahid to do something, but he approved of this idea. We will mostly be using an old Maruti 800, which Shahid has used in the film. He will actually stay in the car and even have meetings inside the car. The event will take place in January, days before the film’s release.”

However this is just one of the many plans for promoting the film and nothing has been finalised as of now, said sources close to the productions.

‘Chance Pe Dance’ is bannered under UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Ken Ghosh.

Christmas has added more cheer to Genelia. The reason is- After shooting outdoors back-to-back, the actress will be the spending the day with her family. She thanks Santa Claus for helping her joining her family members and friends.

I have been working without any break. Thank God, I am taking a break from the hectic schedule today to celebrate Christmas with my family. Right from my childhood, I have not missed out a single Christmas with my parents, she says.

Taking a trip down the memory lane, the actress says, “When I was a child, my brother and me would eagerly wait for the arrival of the Santa Claus to shower us with gifts. As we grew up, we understood that Santa Claus never existed in person.

We realised that Christmas and Santa Claus are all about the spirit of spending happiness and creating a positive difference in others lives. I am wishing a Merry Christmas to every one,she concludes.
