During the election time, there was a gossip going in film city that cheerful beauty Genelia is entering into the politics and campaigning for a party.
Recently, the pretty girl was sharing her thoughts and she expressed that she is not interested in politics and does not have any inclination towards any party.
Above all, she has lot of movies in hand from Bollywood and Tollywood. Genny also said that she is all set to sign a mega project in Tollywood so as of now there is no political episode. It can be assumed as Tollywood and politics are going hand in hand, there will come a time when heroines will enter the fray to canvass for the parties.
A birdie tells us that though Mattel Toys are in talks with Aishwarya Rai as the new choice for Barbie Dolls, nothing is finalised.Sources state, “The company is interested in a younger actress. They plan to rope in Genelia D’souza. They feel she is cute and the youth can relate to her as she is doll-like. Ash has crossed a certain age and is all over the place. They are looking for an actress of today’s generation.”
In a surprise development, Genelia has been replaced by Shriya in the yet to be named film that stars Arya. Just a few days ago it has been reported that Genelia will share the screen space with Arya. But now reports flow in that Shriya had bagged the role. However, there were no immediate comments on why Genelia was shown the door. This film is being directed by Manikandan, the erstwhile assistant of late director Jeeva. Manikandan, it may be recalled, was instrumental in completing the film Dhaam Dhoom. Another heroine in this film is Preethi Rao. The movie is produced by Metro Films.
Tamil film industry’s promising director of the year Venkat Prabhu has approached hot Hollywood actress Jessica Alba for his forthcoming movie Goa. Produced by Soundarya Rajinikant in association with Hollywood’s Warner Bros, the film is going to hit the floors soon. According to the script, there are two more heroines in the movie, and it is said that talks are on with Sneha and Genelia for the same. Venkat Prabhu wants to include a hot actress as the third heroine of the film. He has revealed his wish to Soundarya and the same was conveyed to Warner Bros too. Sources close to Venkat say that the actress has asked for a script which has been send to her through her manager. The movie has Jai, Vaibhav, Premji Amaren and Arvind Akash in the lead, and is said to be a road film in which a group of friends go on a trip to Goa. This is the third directorial venture by Venkat Prabhu, after Chennai 600028 and Saroja.
There had been some gossip making rounds in industry that Genelia and Ritesh Deshmukh, the son of Maharastra CM Vilas Rao Deshmukh are in love and will be getting married soon against the will of Ritesh’s parents. But now things are worse for that love pair. Ritesh’s parents are not willing to the marriage as they are not open to get a Goan Christian as daughter in law. Adding to this they are not happy to get the girl from acting profession. And the issue that keeps Ritesh’s parents away from Genelia is taking some gossips for granted on her. But it is said that a Tollywood actor, who proposed to Genelia earlier has created some gossip on her and took it to Vilas Rao Deshmukh to get the marriage cancelled. So one love can spoil other love! It is said that Ritesh is agreeing to his parents and moving as per their wish. And it takes time for Genelia to get out of this problem.
