‘Urumy’ the movie that is expected to be a path breaker in Mollywood will start its shoot today. Scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan, this period film will be shot at many locations near Mumbai and in Kerala.

Directed by Santhosh Sivan, the movie features young superstar Prithviraj as Kelu Nambiar, the leader of a group trying to kill Vasco Da gama , who landed in Kerala in 1498. Genelia D Souza, Vidya Balan, Prabhu Deva and good number of actors from Bollywood are also part of the cast of this thriller movie, which will be produced by Santhosh Sivan and Prithviraj.

It’s confirmed that Bollywood actor, Hrithik Roshan has almost finalized to play the lead role in the remake of ‘Agneepath’. Now, according to the reports, actress Genelia D’Souza has finalized to play the female lead role in the film.

Sources say, while many top actresses of Bollywood have been approached to star with Hrithik Roshan and finally, Genelia D’Souza is considered as the female lead role.

This film is the remake of 1990′s ‘Agneepath’, where Amitabh Bachchan is the lead role. Karan Johar is the producer for this movie. The producer says that some changes are made in the script, according to the latest trend in Bollywood. Hrithik Roshan will play the role of Vijay Dinanath Chavan. Earlier, the role was played by Amitabh Bachchan. Karan Malhotra will be the director for this remake movie.

It’s known to you all that Ram Charan’s new romantic flick ‘Orange’ is currently being shot at Hyderabad. Genelia and Charan are participating in the shooting everyday and the unit will once again fly abroad to shoot few more scenes and songs. This is scheduled from August 24th to September 16th. But before that the makers are planning to complete the dubbing work. Therefore it will start tomorrow and will happen simultaneously along with the shooting. There is one more heroine in the film, she is Shazahn Padamsee. Tamil actor Prabhu is playing a vital role in this film. He was also seen as Prabhas’s father in ‘Darling’. Being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, ‘Orange’ is produced by Nagababu under Anjana Productions banner.

Finally the speculation over who will play the female lead in Vipul Shah’s Hindi remake of Tamil super hit Khakha Khakha is over. It is Genelia D’souza who has been finalised to play the lead role in the film. After much debate whether Sonam Kapoor or Diana Penty would sign on, Genelia has replaced Asin in the film opposite John Abraham. The shooting begins this month.

A close friend of Genelia’s said, “Genelia has earlier worked with John in Hook Ya Crook but the film has been shelved after 90 per cent of it was shot. Vipul is a very prolific producer and Genelia has not had many offers lately. The role is also a very important one and although it is an action film, the Hindi remake will have the female lead playing an integral part in the film. Initially Vipul was keen to sign Sonam Kapoor after John refused to work with Asin. Then, model Diana Penty was almost finalsied but was dropped at the last minute and Genelia has now stepped in as the female lead.”

The film will be directed by Nishikant Kamath who has earlier directed the critically acclaimed Marathi film Dombivali fast and Mumbai Meri Jaan.

Genelia this morning has dropped in on the sets of director Trivikram’s Mahesh Kaleja. It was then that she had a short interaction with Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar. This is the first time that they both met. Genelia’s obviously maha-thrilled about the meeting and tweeted this, “Just met Mahesh and Namrata. Lovely lovely people, Namrata is the sweetest and actually looks after everyone on sets and Mahesh looked like wowwwww.” Mahesh was equally thrilled to have met Genelia. He even expressed his desire to work with her. “It’s about time we did a film together..I’m sure our pairing will work like magic..gonna work something out real soon,” he tweeted, and the reply was, “Can’t wait Mahesh..I would be thrilled.”

‘Bommarillu’ Bhaskar’s happening project, ‘Orange’ with Ram Charan Tej is shooting in Hyderabad presently.

After completing straight schedules in Australia, Malaysia and shooting parts in Mumbai, the ‘Orange’ team is shooting in Hyderabad from today, August 11th for the next one week. A few important locations of Hyderabad along with montage shots of hero and heroine will be shot.

Ram Charan has pretty girls Genelia and Shazahn Padamsee giving him company. Leading cinematographer RD Rajasekhar, who’s done classy work in movies like ‘Gharshana’, ‘Ghajini’, ‘Arya 2, ‘Varudu’, etc, is offering his expertise even for ‘Orange’ that has been shot in a few exotic locations.
